Turtle Lake, WI

Is where I spent the day yesterday, helping my in-laws settle in to their new lake place. They're extremely excited, and with good reason--it's a darling little place, on a lovely lake. It needs some love and attention, but they have plenty of enthusiasm--it will be super in no time flat.

The previous owners only used it once or twice a year, and it showed in cobwebs, mouse leavings, and general schmutz--but with only one day of (admittedly hard) work (by seven adults), it started to look like a really nice place. Though it is overrun by seriously hideous 70's-era ceramic lamps. They're dreadful.

Let's cut the blather and talk projects!

Finished: Nothing, though some things are close . . .
On the Needles: When my Kureyon color 95 arrived, I couldn't resist it . . . I cast on a Booga Bag right away, and I've done nothing else. I'm about 80% done with the bag--10 more rows and some i-cord and it's ready for felting.
Skully: No change

Drawn Thread Birth Band sampler: Another band down, more to go.

Reading: I got a good start on Lolita, and realized it's going to be a bit of slow going, so I moved straight into Reading Lolita in Tehran instead, so I'll be sure to get it done in time for book club. Nabokov can wait.
Listening to: Psychedelic Furs.
