So. Where have YOU been?

I've been at the lake and on a needlework retreat, and back to the lake, and hosting my parents and working really hard, and getting a new job at my company, and and and . . .

So it's been a while since I updated. And I'm sorry. As it turns out, someone reads this thing enough to miss me. (/em waves at the knitting Loots.) Pardon me while my mind boggles.

Mundane blather, meme-sharing, and trash-talking will now take place in the Lair Of the Lemur (my LiveJournal), so I encourage you to stop by there as well. However, the knitting, stitching, and reading news stays here. Woop woop. Here's the rundown on what I've knit and stitched in the past two months (geez! Honestly, I didn't think it had been that long.)

(Nearly) Finished: The Booga Bag just needs to be felted, and it will be all set.

On the Needles:
Skully: I've finished the back and the front and bound together one shoulder. Now I need to pick up the stitches for the neck.

Party-Time Apron: No change.

Colinette Throw: Put a dozen or so more rows on it after I was too tired to stitch at retreat. With cooler weather coming, she'll make an appearance in rotation soon.

Devan: This cute little pattern at Knitty appealed to the sock yarn fan in me. I know so many pregnant people right now, that I'm sure it will be done at the appropriate time for some little guy. (I picked the blue/purple/green colorway.)

Sock: I couldn't resist this sock yarn either. (Color #28--a sample sock by bruxknits here) And then I just HAD to try the two circular method. It's only about a quarter inch of ribbing at this point, but it's taking up space in the knitting bag.

Charm Scarf: When Mom was in town, I took her out to Borealis Yarns and had her pick out some wacky scarf yarn. She picked a green/gold colorway of Trendsetter Charm that is knitting up quite nicely--even if it does kind of remind me of camoflage netting.

In the Hoop:
Drawn Thread Birth Band sampler: I got past the halfway point and finished up the personalization chart before setting it aside for . . .

Merry Cox Sailor's Huswif: Completely basted. Inside main piece complete. Minor finishing required on the pockets. Still need to complete the outside cover, which has about 800 queen stitches left to complete. Ain't gonna be done by 10/1, and that's okay. I'm pretty sure the class will focus on the inside pockets first anyway, which I will have done by that point.
