Knitting ADD

Must be what I'm suffering from at present. I can't stop starting new things. I'm just not happy if I don't have four or more projects competing for my attention. So, there's lots of fun new stuff in the WIP bin. Let's discuss!

Finished: Nothing 100% finished since last time, I'm afraid, but quite a lot of lovely progress.

On the Needles:
Devan: Another row or two in, but nothing thrilling. I'll be white-water rafting again at the beginning of June--the ride there and back will be key Devan time.

Sock: One sock is completely finished, and fits perfectly! I took someone's excellent advice and cast on for sock #2 while I was still psyched up over completing sock #1. Sock #2 isn't much more than a few rows of ribbing right now, however.

Tank Girl Tank: I finished the back this week, and am on the second ball for the front. (The back took four balls--the front is very similar, and should take roughly the same amount.) This is a quick knit, and really quite a lot of fun.

Baby Kimono: Remember all those pregnant friends I mentioned? Remember that sherbet-colored yarn I was going to make socks out of last year? As luck would have it, I have exactly enough of that yarn for a kimono and bootie set out of the Debbie Bliss Noro Collection book. One of these babies is bound to be a girl, and this will be just perfect. (If it's a boy? Helloooo Devan cardigan.) I have one sleeve complete, and about an inch of sleeve #2 done.

Bunny Hat: The last baby project for the time-being--I couldn't resist having the excuse to make the bunny hat from Stitch 'N Bitch Nation. I finally found the right gauge and color of yarn at Borealis to sub in for the Rowan Wool Cotton--Emu Superwash wool, in a nice bunny grey, with pink for the ears. I've done the short-rowed ear flaps, and have about an inch of the hat body done. So. Cute.

In the hoop: (with the dust blown off)
Merry Cox Sailor's Huswif: No change.
Joe and Sally Snow: No change.
Wedding Snowflake Hardanger: I put in some side star motifs and started the main border at Guild on Tuesday. I will find the groove with my stitching again. I will, I will.
Floral afghan: No change.

Obligatory Cultural References
Reading: Under the Volcano, Malcolm Lowry. Another Book Club book, and I'm afraid I'm just not clicking with it at. all. I keep falling asleep on it after about 5 pages at a go. I suppose it would help if I wasn't reading it late at night with a significant sleep debt.

Listening to: Just the hum of the PC fan. Though I'm currently hooked on The Sunset Tree by The Mountain Goats.
